Christine is a writer and science communicator based in San Francisco, CA.

Today, she leads editorial strategy at CancerChoices.org, translating complex clinical research on integrative oncology into patient resources to an audience of 8,000+ monthly readers. She was operations director at NFX, a seed-stage venture firm, and evaluated the impacts of community health programs at The Samuels Center. She has spoken about health misinformation at the University of San Francisco, for The Society for Integrative Oncology, and The Anti-cancer Lifestyle Program.

You can read her serialized memoir, My Sourdough Era, on Substack - a story of bread, heartbreak, and iconic California landscapes. It is based on her experience founding the bakery Surf Muffins: a farm-to-table cottage bakery that was one of the first microbakeries featuring local whole grain flours and gluten-free options. Her journalism project, The West Coast Whole Grain Adventure, was funded by the Small Planet Institute. She later founded S ENT NUDES botanical fragrances to showcase the beauty of plants and was a regular vendor at West Coast Craft. She studied clinical herbalism under the mentorship of Laura Ash at Verse.

She is a member of the Brooklyn Writers Collective, and is currently writing her first novel: two sisters navigate grief, counter culture, and a cult of Flower Singers who commune with the dead in 1990s Seattle. Yes, the soundtrack rocks.

She studied molecular biology at Western Washington University and earned her MPH in epidemiology at UC Berkeley.
